Matt is a member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI)

He also completed in 2005 an LLM in Intellectual Property litigation from the University of Nottingham.
Experience
Matt specialises in Intellectual Property litigation and has acted for clients in the English High Court and Court of Appeal, the European Court of Justice and the UK and European Patent Offices. He has a keen interest in European food protection involving Protected Geographical Indications (PGIs) and Protected Designation of Origins (PDOs).

Matt has undertaken many search and seize orders on behalf of claimant companies and he has also acted on behalf of the court on numerous occasions as supervising solicitor in the execution of such orders.

Types of IP litigation include (both as claimant and defendant) Trade Marks; Copyright; Registered and Unregistered Design Rights; Passing off; Patents, Trade Mark prosecutions and oppositions; Cybersquatting; and Defamation.

Matt also has extensive experience in white collar fraud cases acting on behalf of claimant companies and individuals.
