Deal saves Norwich’s Mustard Shop
Norwich’s famous Mustard shop in the Royal Arcade has been saved from closure by the Norwich Heritage Economic & Regeneration Trust (HEART).
The Mustard Shop showcases the heritage of Colman’s Mustard in Norwich, attracting around 16,000 visitors a month. It houses a range of archive material covering the history of the Colman’s of Norwich brand, with many types of mustard powder, prepared mustards and old fashioned souvenirs.
Howes Percival LLP’s corporate team acted on behalf of Heart Mercer Limited, a trading subsidiary of Norwich Heritage Economic & Regeneration Trust, on taking over the business from previous owner, Unilever. The law firm advised on an assignment of the lease and the TUPE transfer of the employees.
